Tourist Application Requirements for a Taiwan, China Visa
Passport
The applicant´s actual passport. The passport must:
- Be in good condition. Not be damaged in any way
- Be valid at least six months beyond exit date
- Have at least one blank visa page
Copy of ID
A copy of the applicant's valid ID (IFE or INE)
Photograph(s)
You must provide two colour, passport type photographs that meet the following criteria:
- Be taken within the last three months and printed on high quality photo paper
- Be taken against an all white background
- Be 35 mm by 45mm in size
- Provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression
- You may wear neither spectacles nor headwear except for religious purposes
- Your photos should not be affixed to your application and they may not display evidence of adhesive or staples
Proof of Financial Means
Evidence of available funds must be provided as :
- A copy of the applicant's last payslip showing a minimun monthly salary of US$650.00
Or
- A copy of the applicant's last bank statement showing a minimum credit balance of US$1,000.00
Proof of Travel Arrangements
Details of travel arrangements. This must be provided as:
- A copy of the flight confirmation showing onward/return travel
- A copy of the hotel confirmation
Visa Application Form
One fully completed and signed application form. This form must be completed on line at: https://visawebapp.boca.gov.tw/BOCA_MRVWeb/subroot/MRVWeb0_form.jsp

Multiple Entry Applicants
Applicants requiring a multiple entry visa must:
- Provide proof of a previous visa(s) issued in London, in a passport(s) that can be supplied
- Ensure that all supporting documentation specifies the request for a multiple entry visa

Business Introduction Letter
An original letter of introduction from the applicant's employer in Mexico. This letter must:
- Be on company letterhead paper
- Include the name of the applicant, passport number, profession and job's position
- Specify the purpose of journey
- Include the name of the organisation(s) to be visited
- Include an acceptance of financial responsibility for the applicant
- Be signed by the applicant's supervisor or the company's HR department
- Be addressed to Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in Mexico
Letter of Invitation
An original letter of invitation from the company the applicant is visiting. This letter must:
- Be on company letterhead paper
- Include the name and passport number of the applicant
- Specify the purpose of journey
- Specify the requested number of entries you are requesting for your visa
- Include the name, address and telephone number of the organisation(s) to be visited
- Include an acceptance of financial responsibility for the applicant
- Bear company's seal and signature
Proof of Financial Means

- A copy of the applicant's last three payslips

- A copy of the applicant's last three bank statements.

Do I have to send you my passport to get a Taiwan, China visa? Is it safe to send a passport?
You will need to send your actual passport, not a copy of it. The Taiwan, China visa is stamped on your passport and will become one of your passport pages. Visa requests cannot be processed without your original passport.
